Connecting Google Ads
How to authorize access to Google Ads through your Google account, how to choose the Customer ID and what happens after connecting.
On this page
The connection is made per project, with your own Google account. You don't enter any Google key or password in Admetriva: you authorize access on the Google consent page.
Steps
- Open the project → setup page → Connect Google account.
- Sign in to Google and accept the access Admetriva requests.
- You are taken back automatically to the setup page, which shows the address of the connected Google account.
- Open Google settings and choose the Google Ads account (Customer ID). You can also choose the Merchant Center account here.
- When you save the accounts, the initial import starts. See Import and sync.
If the list of accounts cannot be loaded, enter the Customer ID manually, in the format 123-456-7890.
What Admetriva reads
Admetriva reads the campaigns, their daily performance, product performance from Shopping and Performance Max campaigns, search terms and conversion actions. It does not change anything in your Google Ads account: it does not create, pause or change campaigns, budgets or keywords.
Conversions
The “Conversions” column in Admetriva uses the same definition as the “Conversions” column in Google Ads: the conversion actions included in conversions. The figures stay comparable with the Google Ads interface for the same period and the same time zone.
Google can attribute a conversion to the day of the click and report it late. That is why the most recent days are re-imported on every sync. See How to read the data status.
Reconnecting and disconnecting
- Reconnect Google account renews the authorization without losing the data already imported.
- Disconnecting deletes the access tokens and stops the Google sync for the project. The Ads and Merchant Center accounts you chose stay saved, as does the data already imported, so you can reconnect at any time.
If the button is disabled
The message “The Google integration has not been configured by the platform administrator yet.” means that this Admetriva installation does not have the Google integration active yet. It is not a problem with your account. Contact us.
