Creating a project

What a project represents, what you fill in when you create it and how to use the setup page step by step.

On this page

A project represents a store or a client. Each project's data is kept separate: the connections, campaigns, products, reports and users of one project cannot be seen from another project.

What you fill in

  • The project name, as you want it to appear in the menu and in reports.
  • The currency in which cost and conversion value are shown. Admetriva does not convert currencies: a platform reported in a currency other than the project's is not added into the money totals.
  • The time zone. Days, “today” and “yesterday” are calculated in the project's time zone.

The number of projects you can create depends on the workspace's plan. See Your plan and its limits.

The setup page

After saving, you land on the project's setup page. It shows each step in turn, together with its status:

  1. Project information: name, currency, time zone and thresholds.
  2. Google connection: you authorize access to Google Ads and Merchant Center.
  3. Google Ads account: you choose the Customer ID the project uses.
  4. Merchant Center account: you choose the account with the product catalog.
  5. Store tracking: optional, for the real orders sent from your store.
  6. First sync: brings in campaigns, products and search terms.
  7. Paid Media: the way into the project's reports.

A step that depends on another one tells you what is missing, for example “Connect the Google account first.”

The project menu

The menu shows only what the project uses. Google appears once you have chosen a Google Ads account or after the first sync, Meta after a Meta account is connected, and Products when there is a product source. Overview, Reports and Settings always appear. Hiding a section from the menu does not stop any sync and does not delete any data.
